Reception for the ‘Echo vo dä Bärenegg’ alphorn group following the Swiss Yodelling Festival.

The municipality of Walchwil and the village associations are hosting a reception for the ‘Echo vo dä Bärenegg’ alphorn group following their performance at the Swiss Yodelling Festival in Basel.

The reception will take place on Sunday, 28 June 2026, at 6 pm. Following a procession from the railway station, the alphorn group will be officially welcomed on the village square and honoured for their performance at this major national event. The Walchwil Music Society will provide musical accompaniment for the occasion. Afterwards, the municipality will host a drinks reception.

In the event of bad weather, the reception will take place in the Catholic church in Walchwil.

The reception is part of a long-standing tradition in Walchwil: clubs that take part in major national events are given a ceremonial welcome back in the village upon their return.
