On Thursday evening (7 August 2025), two traffic accidents occurred in Walchwil, each involving a motorcyclist. Both motorcyclists were seriously injured. One of the drivers involved also had to be taken to hospital.
The first accident occurred shortly after 8:15 p.m. on Vorderbergstrasse. For reasons that are not yet known, a head-on collision occurred between a motorcycle travelling uphill and a car travelling downhill. The 34-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured. After receiving initial medical treatment from the emergency services, he was taken to hospital. The 45-year-old car driver was also taken to hospital for a check-up with minor injuries.
During the rescue operation, Vorderbergstrasse had to be closed for around an hour in the area of the accident site. Zug Police

Shortly after 8:45 p.m., a second traffic accident involving a motorcycle occurred on Artherstrasse. A 20-year-old motorcyclist was travelling from Arth towards Walchwil. In a left-hand bend, he lost control of his vehicle, veered off the road to the right and crashed to the ground. The motorcycle then skidded across the entire road and collided with a wall on the left-hand side. The 20-year-old driver who caused the accident had to be taken to hospital with serious injuries.
