The reformed church vibrated

Fourteen lively young people were bursting with enthusiasm for making music together.

They didn't need music stands. Playing from memory and without a conductor, they were not just carefree, they were full of energy! Tchaikovsky's Serenade for stand-up orchestra was played boldly and full of vigour in the middle of the audience. The conductors Erik Dolci and Michèle Rüegg from the Lucerne School of Music rightly interpreted their title ‘ad Libitum’ not simply ‘at will’, but rather ‘without restrictions’. Skilled musicians put themselves at the service of the group and the community, enjoying themselves and giving pleasure. There was a special atmosphere here today. Music was infectious. These young instrumentalists have unveiled an early Christmas present that inspires hope. Anyone who can complete their studies at the Lucerne School of Music in such a way will inspire many for the possibilities of music.
