The ‘Fifth Season’ kicked off right on time on 11 November in the Walchwil parish hall.

Despite the gloomy weather, the atmosphere among the small carnival crowd was excellent. The old costume, which was getting on in years, was replaced by a new one. This was presented to the sounds of the Guggemusig Cheschtänärigler. The carnival society's logo was also brought up to date. The convivial evening was rounded off with an exquisite aperitif provided by Fyrabig Metzg Arth.
