After the pre-carnival event “Ab uf d'Piste 37,” the official start of carnival took place on Schiessverein Saturday.

The celebrations began with a memorial service in the parish church of Walchwil, followed by an open-air concert by the group “Cheschtänärigler” in front of the Sternen restaurant, which got the party started. The street carnival continued at the Fyrabig Bar, where the carnival society offered a delicious snack.

In the evening, the society gathered in the community hall for the enthronement. The group “Cheschtänärigler” opened the festival, which sparkled with entertainment at its finest. The highlight was the unveiling of the Hudimütter: Nicole Hürlimann, Katzenstrick, and Jasmin Fellegger. The surprise was a success, as no one had expected these ladies.

Of course, the party continued late into the night for the tireless with the band “JAMPiGS.”
