Man slides down board with excavator

A man slid down an embankment with an excavator. The 79-year-old man suffered significant injuries in the work accident.

On Wednesday (3 May 2023), at 10:45 am, a work accident occurred at Turnliberg in Walchwil. A 79-year-old man was spreading gravel with an excavator when the excavator suddenly tilted and slid down the slope. The 79-year-old man was seriously injured in the accident. Members of the Zug emergency medical services attended to the casualty. After initial medical treatment, Rega flew him to a hospital outside the canton. Forensic experts were called in to clarify the exact circumstances of the accident.

In addition to members of the Zug emergency medical services and Rega, members of the Walchwil fire brigade, the Zug fire brigade, a member of the fire brigade inspectorate and the Zug police were also called to the scene.
