On Saturday, 8 November 2025, the traditional Lotto match took place at the Aesch restaurant. Thanks to donations from generous companies and individuals, an attractive prize table worth 9,200 Swiss francs was set up again this year.

The event began at 6 p.m. with evening service, followed by an invitation from the Walchwil Carnival Society to the lottery evening at 8 p.m.

‘14,’ the announcer with the little cards calls into the microphone. There are nods of approval here and disappointed head-shaking there. Those who have ‘14’ on their card reach for a semi-transparent plastic tile and cover the number with it. The pleasant tension briefly gives way to joy. People allow themselves a fleeting smile. Feelings of happiness take hold here in homeopathic doses – please, not too much euphoria at once.

Now there was four hours of high tension in the hall. Many were delighted with their winnings, others hoped for future lottery luck, but everyone enjoyed the cheerful atmosphere in the hall.
