FC Walchwil got off to the most difficult of starts in their season opener away against FC Perlen-Buchrain II, eventually suffering a 3-0 defeat.

It was clear even before the match that the squad situation would pose a major challenge. The small squad and the numerous absences of regulars had a clear impact on the pitch.

The new signings were also unable to make the hoped-for impact that evening. Walchwil struggled to get into the game and found themselves chasing the game early on.
