On Sunday (15 February 2026) the long-awaited carnival parade took place in Walchwil, which is only held every three years.

A total of 32 groups took part in this colourful spectacle, which is considered an expression of communal celebration.

The parade was opened by the Guggenmusik Cheschtänärigler and offered spectators a feast for the eyes and ears. Particularly striking was the satirical float by the Walchwil men's group, which poked fun at the Oberdorf meeting place and pointed out the lack of toilets and the smelly containers.

Fortunately, the weather cooperated and it remained dry, which had a positive impact on the parade. The parade is the highlight of the carnival in Walchwil and was celebrated exuberantly in the village. kh.
