A driver reversed his car into the entrance area of a building and then drove forwards into a wall. The driver was seriously injured and had to be hospitalised.

The accident occurred on Tuesday (16 July 2024), shortly before 11:15 a.m., on Hinterbergstrasse in Walchwil. A 65-year-old driver reversed out of a car park and lost control of his car. As a result, he crashed the rear of the vehicle into the glass façade of a building and then forwards into a wall near the car park.

The driver was seriously injured in the accident. After receiving initial medical treatment, he was taken to hospital by the Zug ambulance service. The damage to the vehicle and the building amounts to several tens of thousands of francs.

The exact cause of the accident is the subject of further investigations.
