On Saturday 5 July, a village festival was held on the village square in Walchwil to mark the re-forming of the Walchwil Music Society.

Not only the Walchwil Music Society took part in the festival, but also three guest bands. The village festival opened at 2.00 pm with a parade march and lasted well into the night. The event concluded with the group Helga on Fire. The entire Walchwil municipal council and several Zug politicians were also present. The event was excellently organised under the direction of Jürg Portmann. Catering stands and the local Riviera restaurant ensured that nobody had to go home hungry. kh.
