On Saturday (7 March 2026) the traditional annual concert of the Walchwil Music Society took place in the Walchwil community hall. The society's 44 musicians presented an extremely varied programme.

The concert, entitled ‘Heroes and Legends’, was skilfully and humorously presented by Markus Heinzer. The evening opened with the march ‘Farewell of the Gladiators’, followed by the dreamy folk song ‘Carrickfergus’. The concert concluded with the rousing melodies of Glenn Miller, which brought the golden era of swing back to life.

The visitors in the packed community hall were highly satisfied with the performance. As usual, the concert was of a very high standard, and the numerous visitors enjoyed an evening full of heroes, legends and brilliant soloists with unforgettable music. kh.
