Shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, 4 September 2025, a 64-year-old driver was travelling along Zugerstrasse in Arth towards Walchwil. The driver veered off the road to the right, onto a meadow, where the vehicle collided with a rock. The vehicle then tipped over onto its side and finally came to a halt on its roof in the opposite lane. The driver was taken to hospital by the emergency services with minor injuries.

Due to the rescue work, Zugerstrasse was only passable in one lane for an hour. The Schwyz cantonal police, the emergency services and a private towing company were also on site. Schwyz Cantonal Police
