On the first Advent, the traditional ‘Open Singing’ took place in the Walchwil Reformed Church.

The Advent-decorated church created a wonderful atmosphere in which the young musical talents from the music school delighted the audience with a varied selection of Advent and Christmas songs. Pieces by Bach and Händel, as well as spirituals, an Abbasong and many well-known Christmas carols were performed with enthusiasm and dedication. Again and again, the parents and visitors present were able to join in and sing along heartily. The Advent atmosphere was rounded off with a convivial get-together afterwards over hot fruit punch and plaited stars.
